At 10.30 am on Sunday, May 6, 2007, he cleared customs and quarrantine at Devonport to a big welcome and then returned to the Tamar River.

An official welcome was held at 4 pm on Monday, May 7, 2007, at Home Point in Launceston. Ken started his circumnavigation off the Mersey Bluff in Bass Strait at 4.28pm on Monday, November 6, 2006.

Ken has raised $127,000 for a medical research study into eyesight disorders and related eye-health conditions thought due to changes in children's lifestyle and leisure activites, exposure to TV and computer screens, and mobile phone games.

The use of sets of twins in this Tasmanian based study will allow for comparison measurements and follow up study over the next 2 to 3 years.
